Jonas Brothers Live In M'sia @ Stadium Negara (24/10/12)
JONAS BROTHERS 2.0 HITS KUALA LUMPUR

Note to ourselves - please bring ear plugs if we are planning to attend anymore Jonas Brothers or similar concerts. It was quiet unbelievable how much noise a teenage voice can produce, what more a collective 3000 plus screaming ones at the same time, at the the Jonas Brothers Live In Malaysia Concert that was held at Stadium Negara in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday, 24th October, 2012. Despite the moderate turnout at the concert, the decibel count could easily better those of larger concerts. We had doses of it even before the brothers took centre stage, especially during the surprise opening act by a bright eyed fellow Camp Rock alumni, Anna Maria Perez, who delivered four songs in vibrant fashion. Gorgeous Filipino American actress and singer Anna Maria who plays Ashley Dewitt, Miley Cyrus' sidekick in Hanna Montana, got the crowd warmed up with her brilliant smile and energetic performance. She had them singing along in no time and screaming out her name as well before leaving the stage for the roadies to set up for the brothers who were coming up next.
The crowd erupted into a hysterical frenzy, drowning out the sounds of thunder from the storm outside, as soon as they saw Joe, Nick & Kevin making their way out of the shadows, to play live for the very first time in Malaysia in front of their very loyal fans who had turned up to support them despite the band being on the quiet for a number of years. This was not the Jonas Brothers of old, but a brand new, refreshed and more mature mix, who looked and performed like current chart topping pop stars than the normal Disney icons. In their absence as a group and in pursuit of their own solo projects, the band seem to have grown up just a bit, and have come back completely re-energised and more relevant to the mainstream pop fans as opposed to the Disney or Nickelodeon markets that are familiar with them. This was Jonas Brothers 2.0, a brand new pop group that had us enjoying every moment of their 75 minute set and had us wishing for more, at their excellent concert which was managed by experienced promoters Wonderland+.
