Penang Auditions Sneak Peeks
I arrived in Penang by bus at about 5.15am, took a refreshing shower in the Sg. Nibong Station (luckily they had the facilities) & then took a kereta sapu to the Sunway Hotel. The ride cost me RM 18 (the proper taxi's wanted RM 30) and I arrived at the hotel around 6am. Took a quick roti canai meal at the nearest nasi kandar restaurant (the roti was really good & so was the dhal). I believe it was Restaurant Saha or something like that, the one between the hotel & Komtar. After having my first Penang meal in more than 5 years, I made it back to the OIAM 3 venue by 6.30am and eagerly waited for all the hopeful contenders from the Northern states to arrive.
Here's a sneak peek of the auditions. The full story and the complete pics (we are talking about a couple of hundred) will be up once the audition show airs on TV.
Komtar at 6.30am as viewed from Sunway Hotel.
The 8TV crew had already arrived the afternoon before.
Sunway Hotel was the venue of the Penang auditions.
These three from Kulim were among the very first to arrive. (More about them later)
The formidable Tracy was the most sort after girl in Penang that whole day. Without her none of the contestant would have been able to register.
Briefing by 8TVs special projects head Eileen before the contestants were allowed to register.
These were the first batch of contestants to turn up and it was not even 8.00am yet.
The most feared room in OIAM 3.
But only the most fearless (& talented) will win that coveted prize.
Will it be someone here from Penang?
Would it be someone wearing these shoes?
Could it be the owner of one of these two guitars?
Even Kitvy & Joyce here who will be in your face with their cams 24-7, will not know the answer.
That is why Krishnan here calls it "The Quantum of OIAM".
Stay tuned for the whole story and pics right here in Rentak. Coming real soon!!!
