yoyo... worm... watssup... totally agree with you man.... CC didnt do well at that... it was a god damn nice choreography from their instuctor.. but she did it without the energy nor the feel... n the rhythm was all over the place (i'm watching at home, hope it doesnt affect anything that goes life)... so... let see tomorrow...
n... too bad for the two eleminated... keep on the spirit...^^
as for Jojo... too bad for her to be in the bottom.... as you said... she really show her professionalism as she always did... good job... still the favourite in my heart... keep on the good work with raymond...

Top 16 Review
Wow!!! Loads of attitude from Sarah this week, which made up for any technical shortcomings in her performance this week. Both Hong & she kept it nice and up-tempo on their hip hop number performed to C&C Music Factory's ¡°Keep It Comin¡±, although Hong was clearly more natural, comfortable and the more convincing of the two, with his sharp & punchy moves. But good on Sarah for keeping up with him and letting herself go on stage, and gaining herself some street cred.
It is almost impossible to fault Sim as she takes on everything that is thrown at her and makes mince meat out of it. She simply nailed her Cha Cha. The same could not be said about Hanafi who is clearly out of his depth when taking on any form of ballroom, no matter how hard he tries. Unfortunately he will not be able to make any amends for it in this competition as luck ran on for him this week.
It got a little stale with both Zul & Jorida's routine after being fed with 3 straight weeks of contemporary from them. As good as they are they need more of a challenge. Zul was a little off this week and did not match up to Jorida who was deeply immersed in her romantic role, so much so, the waterworks turned on for real. They are both top contenders, and hopefully luck will be on their side when they draw their next routine.
It was a rocky performance that had us all rolling over in agony when Sly & Zef attempted a less than snappy rock & roll to Los Lobo's ¡°La Bamba¡±. It was so much of a struggle for the pair as they huffed and puffed their way through an extremely clumsy routine, even though they managed to keep on their happy faces throughout. It was an utter mess that clearly exposed their weaknesses. A massive step down from the week before. It was no surprise that they were both unceremoniously dumped into the bottom 6.
The good news is there is more to Cecelia than just Latin Ballroom. The sad part was Ray was completely mono tone in his delivery although he contributed his part like clockwork when they took on a lyrical hip hop routine that was performed to Chris Brown's ¡°Say Goodbye¡±. The sadder part was although Ray agreed with me that he was being one dimensional in his expressions during rehearsals, nothing changed during his actual performance. Let's hope he will be able to engage us more on an emotional level or else he will continue to disappear inside of Cecelia's shadow.
¡°Cantik!!!¡± It was a term often used by Pat Ibrahim to describe mostly Suhaili's performances last year, and Farah rightfully deserves it this week. It was majestic choreography brought to life by two highly motivated individuals who seem to be growing from strength to strength. Both Black & Farah looked the part in their Malaysian Contemporary Collaboration piece and delivered a more than convincing performance, although Farah was a tinge restrained. Black was simply royal throughout, and their elegant display looked as if Tony Leung's Shi Huang Ti was having an illicit affair with Aishvarya Rai's Mumtaz Mahal in a Wong Kar-Fei epic movie, and the intensity of their performance made me feel that Mumtaz would have certainly traded in the Taj Mahal for the Great Wall. ¡°Senang Tari¡± indeed.
It was an impressive opening lift but it did not venture beyond that as we were treated to a salsa done in slow motion. It was passionless & unexciting. For those of you who still remember, Raymond wore the exact same outfit that Vish of STYCD 1 wore in his Top 20 salsa performance with Orange last year. That was a performance that was filled with so much fire & pizzazz; especially coming from someone who had the near impossible task of shaking off more than 10 years of schooling in one very refined form of classical dance. Both Orange & Vish simply blazed the dance floor then and were miles ahead of the less than amateurish routine Raymond & Jojo delivered. In fact that performance would have easily surpassed the entire top 16's performances this week. Both Raymond & Jojo's presentation did not even showcase the fundamentals of salsa although they attempted to resolve more complex moves. It lacked neither finesse nor fire, and ended up looking lame when it should have been sizzling and igniting the audience. Of the two, Raymond seemed the most uncomfortable and out of touch. Jojo was not that much better although she managed to execute her moves adequately. Perhaps it was too much thinking and too little dancing that resulted in an unconvincing outing for the two of the better dancers in this competition.
I simply loved it, butt slapping and all. The poor showing last week hardly fazed Chee Wei & Samantha as they came back strongly in their hip hop showpiece, to redeem themselves. It was sexy, energetic & exciting, and I was most impressed by the progression made by Chee Wei in just one week. It was much more convincing as we were treated to some cheeky hip work and heaps of spunk by the pair. And finally the real Samantha stood up and showed us that she may just be one of the top contenders of this competition. Overall it was a mammoth showing of attitude & spirit. Choreographer Manuela certainly deserves loads of praise for her in your face choreography and for being able to coax the best out of all the dancers under her charge, every single time.

I can see the improvement of most of the contestant just by the opening dance. The only part i don't like about this opening is that seems like the dance is specially design for CC. why is she always at the middle or first infront of the camera? I personally thought this is unfair to other contestants. As for Sim, ......... u r beautiful. from the beginning of the show, criticize after criticize, u improve and absorb like a sponge. ur latin movement was so seducing yet u bring out the maturity of a woman which CC can never deliver it well. u r confidence, graceful, and elegant. and u really know the meaning of dancing. I can see u as one of the finalist already. Great great performance gal As for CC, I would say, good job for the effort, but, unfortunately u are just completing all the hip hop step without mistake. I saw ur every step shadowed by ur latin habitual movement and expression. it was a big contrast when u dance together with ray, and it shows all ur weakness. I was expecting to be surprise by u but so sad, u didn't. I notice that your not a big fan of CC. You have let favoritism made your judgment instead of judging what should be judge. Which i could say that your are being clouded by your dislike upon CC when you place your comment. You let emotion run you.

You do not read carefully eh .. I did not mentioned i didn't accept his critique but i've mentioned that his critique wasn't constructive. His critique was based on favoritism (check on history posting and my bolded quote). You can tell he wasn't CC's fan. So he base it all on his Favoritism. If you wanna JUDGE someone you have to be on Neutral Ground nomatter whois your favourites. Enjoy ;D

who's to judge who danced it right?
for those who ain't favor for cecilia.... just becuz she's a latin dancer and she doesn't dance hip-hop with a feel.. how can u blame her? she did her best and managed to finished her steps.. it's better than dancers who did mistakes and forget their choreography. let's say the other way round.. if another dancer major in hip-hop were to dance a latin number, and he/she can't get the latin feel, would you say the same? is it becuz that you feel that CC don't deserve being on stage that make you say so? you can't judge just by the dance number itself.. it's the overall..
some people cry behind closed doors and you never know. ppl who cry freely shows that they have emotions.. it's better to let out.. a person crying doesn't mean he/she is defeated.. just becuz one cried and the others didn't, he/she gets the talk of the town...it's just a cliche'...
if you were in that person's shoes, how would you feel?

Hey man, sorry heavy work load and I'm unable to reply all of ur precious comments. firstly bboyrice, thanks man, u really understands wat I'm thinking huh thanks alot. for msa, there's something I would like to let u know and then u can judge if I'm commenting by my favoritism. I was as ruums for the very first live show and CC's latin blew me away. I thought to myself :" man.. this chick is hot!" She was so attractive and I couldn't get her out of my mind for the whole week and make me wanted to see her again the next week. I'm quite positive that more new fans of hers are being captured since then for the same reason. I'm a greedy person who likes to see more, new creative things. I like different genres of dance, I am always touched by the spirit, the expression and stories the dancers are try to express. I can't stay satisfy with the same old steps of twisting ur body with shiny shimering sexy latin dress and the same old predictable facial naughty expression but soul-less dance. I read nothing from the following performance. honestly speaking, for me, CC is just repeating her very familiar latin steps, movement and facial expression without a meaning behind. wat is she trying to deliver with her dance? wat is behind it? wat are all these provoke body language of hers means? wat is she trying to say? and another thing I found funny is, If so happen the one I'm commenting is some other dancers, do u think their fans will say the same thing like u did my dear? lol chilled there. take care.
