"I have just had the pleasure of listening to jac belt out the OIAM theme song. She sounded great as usual.
That was the only thing that gave me ANY pleasure.
I can thank God, I only endured one hour of the 1st audition show instead of bearing the full assault of the whole one and a half hours.
Out of ALL the participants that were chosen to go through to KL, in that one hour, I think only 4 to 5 truly deserved a chance, based on their singing style and ability.
I cannot (notice I didn't abbreviate the cannot, it would have lost its impact, the way this show seems to have lost its appeal to me) ... So I repeat, I CAN-NOT BELIEVE some of the people BOTH judges had said yes to at the 1st go, I cannot believe the Chinese girl & Ivy from the "maybe" group were put in the "maybe" group instead of being told "yes", I cannot believe that they let the "usual clone of the clones" Malay fellow from the "maybe" group through and I CERTAINLY CAN-NOT BEELIEVE they put that confused money lender through!!!!!
Then again since I am sure I wasn't asleep or I wasn't in the twilight zone during the show - I just HAVE to swallow the riduculousness in!
I also think Ms Syafinaz needs to decide, that if she is gonna speak English, speak it. No need for that off again on again hovering in between put on accent. Those who understand the language don't need an accent to understand the language. In fact, it just confuses us. "Honey, this accent thing people think is SO cool, just ain't cool" - get?
All I can HOPE for Paul Moss is, that what I saw of his decision making prowess was just a temporary glitch. I seriously (IMHO - of course) think that hanging out "professionally" with those 2 other MI judges during both seasons has him carrying around some excess "moron-ness" which just fell on the poor man.
That boy (Nazri - was it?) working in the carpet shop - remember him? - so very kind to have made both the judges laugh their remaining brain cells off, would have done better to "gulung" and "lipat" said judges along with the carpets. Like some of us love to say, so Malaysian like - " Sudah BUNGKUS"!!!
I also think that Malaysians had better get the premise of this show right! You know what? Forget Malaysians, I think those 3 hair dyed persons (judge & hosts) had better make pretty darn sure those chemicals didn't seep through their cranial bones into their brains because ... One doesn't WIN the ONE MILLION BUCKS! IT is IN-VES-TED (look in the dictionary) into the winner (asset) for their future in the industry (Profit - Excuse me while I LMAO). UN-DER-STAND?
Wrong decisions and some really "lucky" right ones ruled (ruined) this audition show. To me it reeked "desperation" and to an extent tasted disgustingly "tidak apa".
See, I thought Andrew a.ka. Atama was a good rapper. It was great - in fact - made more since I could actually make out his words, a LOT better than some of the "rappers" (if you even call them that) polluting the air waves.
I could be biased, since I have heard the actual "song" he was rapping to. Note to Paul Moss - go have a listen, it's different, it's good and it's UNIQUE as far as fution of traditional Sabahan music with hip-hop, rap is concerned. Then again, people don't say "one man's meat is anothers' poison" for nothing too.
Hey, Grand Master Mister Dragon, regardless of the so called "judge-fight" and Dayang in the next show, the KL auditions had better be worth my time. I seriously will not give much credit to this show if the same idiocity is displayed in the KL auditions!
In my utmost humble un"professional", un"trained" opinion, this 1st million dollars should just have been invested into Jaclyn Victor. Now there is an ASSET to give you your PROFITS - suckers!!!
For all she went through during her MI show, for all the pitch-perfect songs she dished out week after week (I really feel Axl Rose should hear this tiny boom box belt out Sweet Child O' Mine, bandana and moves and air guitar and all!!), for blowing our placid, flacid Malaysian minds to music nirvana during the finale, for salvaging ther poor, pathetic debut album that was "produce" for her by those "great musical minds", for disgusting apathy shown by our local radio stations in regards to our 1st Idol, for the equally noxious disregard of the media towards this wonder of home born, home grown talent, for the awards (international & local) that she's stacking up, for giving our country SOMETHING to be PROUD of, for the non existent efforts put into showing her off to the international scene - she JACLYN VICTOR, deserves every cent of it, hands, fingers, feet, toes and hair down!!
As far as I am concerned, this show only goes to proof that sometimes stupidity just has got no cure.
Note: As I have previosly stated previously somewhere on one of the forums, I have no qualms to apologise if I have been proven wrong. So please for all of us "Idiot Box" reality show addicts, proove me wrong.
