What on earth was all of that about??? The female judges were a pair of b*&^$%s towards everyone except Dayang - who really should have received harsher criticism than she got...and what the f%$k was up with that awful arrangment of Gemilang Dayang sang? So "bouncy" and tacky and lacking in feeling and completely missed the important message of the song...what a mess!!!! - feel sorry for Aubrey that his song could be taken to such a low place.
SS has some nerve if she feels that she has the right to judge someone's singing ability and performance/audience connection, based on her recent TV performance with Ning - what a mess THAT was. She over-annunciated words and made several "T" words ring out loud and clear (eg kiTA, sehaTi, Tak, renTasi etc), her low notes were not in any recognizable key known to human-kind, she made little or no connection with the audience and the audience seemed to know the words better than either "professional" singer - in fact the audience didn't require the words to be on a music stand...at least the producers of the show could have hidden the sheet on a speaker down low or somewhere else rather than have it standing right in front of everyone...I could go on and on, just like her awful singing did however...
Back to OIAM...
SS really should display greater professionalism when dealing with Paul re: use of BM. His level of BM may not be as good as some people think it should be, yet it is not an area on which SS should base her comments (which in fact are nasty and personal and rather weak truth to be told, rather than witty or engaging) in order to highlight his assumed, limited level of BM...and really her English annunciation, pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary aren't that good so she should be more careful when doling out the criticisms regarding language proficiency.
On the whole, the performances from the contestants were solid and showed some lovely moments of natural ability and character...well done to the top 5 and let's hope for a better job all round next week...
I am so glad to see so many OIAM fans speaking up about these issues...keep it up guys!!!! Don't let these types of problems just slip under the radar!!!! ;D
Ciao!
