Her passion for dancing developed since she was a child. Growing up with her mother who was a single parent saw her mother trying her best to enroll her daughter in dancing lessons that she was interested in but it usually stopped half way as it was getting more and more expensive over the years.
Joanne has appeared in numerous commercial advertisements, and have performed for many local stars such as Dato' Siti Nurhaliza, Anita Sarawak, Ning Baizura, Adibah Noor, Ferhad, Sarimah and many others.
