Yeah dragon.. without the big crowd of IZ fans it is hard to liven up the energy in Ruums... it is soooo tiring to be upbeat, scream and clap all the time... but whenever the camera is turned on we'll do our best la. At times can't cheer for everybody - have to save it so can cheer louder for the ones we support...

hey peeps... episode 11 was much better than the previous.. YUZ did not dissapoint me as usual.. HOpefully he'll keep it up and maybe set the bar higher... but i think the top 6 kinda stupid coz only 2 will be save... but on the on the other hand it give the dancers more motivation to work their butt off to stay safe... Too bad nicky went out and also jimmy.. but i noe dats its not their last... YUZ and NOOR all d best

hey peeps...heheh. sorry for the long 'dissapearance'. yeah, i was abducted by the aliens and managed to escape few days back, LOL. well in this case, the aliens are my bosses lah (sorry boss, don't potong my gaji!). *grins*
didn't manage to catch the live performances for both Epi.10 and 11 due to work and family commitment. was busy until last wekend, and only manage to take a breather now. phew! but i'd always make my time to catch the show on TV .. so yes, i'm still following the show even when i'm not physically there at Ruums for the past two weeks
anyway, since i'm in the Epi.11 thread, let me just put my comments on Epi.11's show only aight? i think i'm gonna go couple by couple, without following the performance order. so here goes...
i'd like to talk about Jimmy-Sue first. both of their performances didn't impress me actually, neither the contemporary nor the waltz. however, Sue looked awesomely outstanding and totally overshadowed Jimmy in both dances. she really is a teachically good dancer, not to mention blessed with beautiful face and body (a bonus factor for a dancer, really). Jimmy couldn't match Sue's perfect techniques in the contemporary and there were no connections between both in both waltz and contemporary. i'm so sorry to say this, but Jimmy did has this 'feminine expression' on his face when he did his waltz with Sue. he didn't dance like a woman of course, but his expressions, the way he looked at Sue, the way he looked at the camera and the audience in Ruums, were sometimes did exude that slight feminine aura. that didn't look right at all. i don't really favour their dance routines, but i have to admit, Sue really stole the limelight from Jimmy when they were both performing on stage.
Yuz-Noor's first routine was kind of cutesy, but didn't work out that well. i was waiting for the punch to come but it didn't come at all. it looked fun but for tecnically strong dancers like Noor and Yuz, i think both can do more than that actually. i really simply loved their Silat contemporary. the energy was really there! both Yuz and Noor carried Azwa's awesome choreography with great deliverance. they complement each other in this routine and i have to agree with Azwa, Yuz and Noor is perfect for each other (at least for Azwa's chory).
Brancy-Dennis, huge dissapointment again. Dennis is being his old same self, without any visible improvement in his techniques. his charismatic on stage persona did help him to stay in the next round, but i really think he's going home in Episode 12. there's nothing outstanding in Brancy's performance in the second routine (or was it a ballroom which didn't look like ballroom at all?) looked more like a dancehall or Caribbean to me. but i love Brancy's performance in the first routine (i think it's dancehall). she's the only female competitor in SYTYCD that could copy Manuela's dancehall groove the closest. she didn't manage to copy Manuela 100%, but she did bring out dancehall energy in her performance. no comment on Dennis in this performance.
Nikki-Alam. agree with Pat's comment about how their hiphop looked cutesy. but i really think it was a good performance. and i think it was the best choreography Yannus ever made in this competition so far. it's fun, it's cool and it has it's own attitude. well done Yannus! the contemporary performance was okay, but Nikki's lack in techniques really showed when she did her performance with Alam.
it's very clear who's gonna be in Bottom 6 in Epi.11, and my predictions were all spot on. as expected, both Sue and Yuz were safe, and the rest were all thrown in the Bottom 6 list. weird isn't it? i mean, to have Bottom 6 when you only have 8 contestants. what kind of idiocy is that?
anyway, the individual performance. i must say i loved both performances by Brancy and Jimmy. they really showed their originality and their capability of dancing in their own comfort zones. Alam and Nikki was doing what they do best, that is breaking. Alam still impress me with his one handstand skills, but Nikki, just the same old stuff. nothing new. Dennis was way better than last week (last week he was being cheeky on the stage while doing his unsuccessful flips), and Noor's 30 seconds routine was darn awful. what were you thinking girl? you gotta do better than that if you don't wanna go home next week.
it's not a surprise to see both Nikki and Jimmy left the competition in this episode. i'm not saying this because i don't think they're good dancers. they are good dancers, but not the best. based on what i see in their performances (in this particular episode and previous ones) they have learnt a lot, but to be able to improve fast and to be extremely versatile in such short duration is totally not easy. both did what they do at their best, but it wasn't enough to make them stay in the next level.
however, definitely i know, they both won't stop dancing. both of them did participate in various dance competitions here in Malaysia quite frequent before this, so i don't think SYTYCD is the end of their quest in marking their name in Malaysia's dance industry.
so keep on dancing y'all. don't stop partying. ROCK ON!

Rentak Sejuta's Weekly Review: Episode 11 - Top 8This was probably the hardest week for the judges, as they had to leave only 2 contestants out of the elimination parade. It looks like they pretty much stuck to their guns and decided strictly based on this week's performance, just as they have been doing from the very beginning. Amazingly, the only 2 contestants that have never been in the bottom continued to stay out of it. This may seem like an indicator of who may eventually win this competition, but, the reality is they may just end up leaving the show next. Remember it is still a viewer voting competition, and anything can happen. Episode 11 saw a slight revival in the form of the contestants, but only slight. There were no real breakaway performances from any of them, and nothing really amazing to shout about. What could have been a jaw hanging routine in their performance from one pair did not materialize, due to the effect of the trauma suffered from a training accident. Even some early favourites seemed to have fizzled out and are dishing out only mediocre performances. Yes, this competition is really tough and the contestants do have to face and overcome seemingly insurmountable tasks, but that is the nature of this competition that is trying to discover the best dancer in the country. The sacrifices, and the trials & tribulations undergone are part of being the best there is, and winning is definitely not for the faint hearted. I can't really seem to find anything much to write about this week as far as the performances go, as there was nothing there to really impress me. I did not find anything engaging in either of Sue & Jimmy's performances, although it is obvious that Sue is miles ahead of Jimmy, and executed all her moves eloquently. Jimmy tried hard but his lack of formal training limited his abilities to raise his game, and was mostly overshadowed by the willowy Sue, at least in the first number. He did much better in his waltz, and was close to par with Sue, but the physical mismatch was too distracting for me to truly appreciate their simple performance. Brancy & Dennis did adequately in their hip hop routine; with the only high point being the over the head toss of Brancy by Dennis. Their second outing looked more like dancehall than samba and hardly fired up the audience. Their usually flaming personalities seemed to be dissipating as they merely went through the motions. The best performances of the night were clearly both of Yuz & Noor's routines, which were executed effectively. Alam & Nikki's first routine was fun and narrowly theatrical even though the execution was never perfect, but it was Nikki who played her role to perfection. Alam's lack of confidence was clearly evident in their second routine, when he struggled to maintain his usually strong composure during the difficult moves. Most of it was executed half heartedly and the final stunt was a total disaster. The training accident the day before seemed to have affected Alam more than Nikki. Nikki on the hand, masked any pain that she was undergoing and looked more convincing. As expected, it was Sue & Yuz who were declared safe this week. But I believe the margin of difference between Sue, Brancy & Noor may not be much. Although I find Sue's performances more refined and emotive, I feel both Brancy & Noor are more versatile. They all definitely have their own strengths and each have something unique to offer. But I was most impressed with Nikki, who developed from a stereotypical B-Girl into a beautiful and emotive dancer that will really go far with sufficient training and time. As for the guys, it is the well heeled Yuz who seems to be leading the pack, and is definitely the strongest dancer in the pack, but unfortunately he lacks the charisma and in your face stage personalities of both Dennis & Alam. Jimmy on the other hand is more of an engaging theatrical performer than an all out dancer, and did very well to get this far. Simple technic to double up on the votes. Its good to bidextrous, isn't it.Sorry ah, no time to chat now.Somebody here is celebrating her birthdayMore hearts are going to be broken in Episode 12 as we come closer to the end of this competition. I dare not even predict who will go home as it is simply impossible to do so, as all of the contestants have their strengths and their own fans that will try and keep them in. My only fear is that the BEST dancer may be going home on Thursday night. The packed press conference was attended by not just the eliminated contestants but included Pat & Executive Producer Sunil as well.Barney will be trying out for SYTYCD 2 next year under the experienced tutelage of NikkiRentak's Weekly Ranking:1. Yuz/Noor 2. Dennis/Brancy 3. Sue/Jimmy 4. Alam/Nikki Those who hung around a little longer downstairs from Ruums got a chance to meet up with all the contestantsOf course Mrs D did not miss out on the photo op.Milo of course wanted individual pics with all the girls
