The actual fact is that the voting lines were closed much earlier than anticipated, especially last nite. The lines closed way before both hosts took to the stage for the results section.
So next week, my advice is to vote right after all their individual performances, during the Quickie as quickly as possible and before the Quickie segment ends on 8tv.
Coz they hv a very short time after that to print/write the names on the cards before passing them to the host(s/es/esses) to announce the result.
I sent a couple of votes, and the last 4 of them were sent when the lines were already closed. Sigh. Hope I don't get billed for that!

youngwolf... according to what I know, those cards doesn't really carry the result... the earpieces in the hosts does... I read it in one of the person who went on the live show backstage to learn about all running a live telecast, and in the person's blog, the person reported that how the producer actually tell the host what to say even before the envelop was open. So them envelop are for show only. Thus I suspect some of the blunders the host commit could be due to producer's prompting also - like those questioning dancer when they are panting for breath etc etc... tat's why am trying not to be too critical on Juls...

way to go beekgurl! great info to share with rest of us here. most of us (including yours truly) normally make our assumptions based on what we see only, without even knowing the real truth. it's good to have someone like you to enlighten us on the issue.
i'm with youngwolf on the voting part though. i think one should already know which contestant they want to vote for as soon as the Bottom List names are announced. some may view the solo performance segment as 'redemption' time for the dancers to proove to us that they deserve to stay in the competition. however, in my case, this time is normally used to vote for all my favourite contestants, as much as i can before the voting window is closed. so yes, i agree with youngwolf, do vote ASAP after the host/s/es/esess announced the names of Bottom List.
and rionard, thanks for highlighting the Jimmy's injury in here. fyi, i knew about the injury. in fact i even know the severity of the ankle injury, when it happened, where it happened and how it happened. i am one of Jimmy's strong supporters and one of those frontline Titans in Jimmy's supporters' group. i am also a person who appreciates arts and loves dance so much. so when this is the case, if i see something that needs improvement, i will say it out loud - no matter if you're my dear friend or not. i was criticised before for being vocal about other contestants. some even accused me for doing such thing out of jealousy. but i'm not actually. i'm impartial and i do fair review. really hope to see more improvement in Jimmy in the next performance with his new partner Becky.
all the best!

We have BIG BIG DOUBTS! the SMS as well! Me & my group of frens (on live & at home) voted non-stop for Isaac to 33838 and there was NO REPLY at all for the voting confirmation. The 1st reply I received was at 1am.. Half of it stated, "Sorry Your Voting Time Was Over".. How jam can the SMS could be and it really fetched unfairness to our mind. Hi VM... i agreed with you... even if i were the judge, i would not have put Isaac in the bottom list... as i said in my previous post, last nite was his best performance... he took a big leap on the timing part from last week... alah dkha75, off beat 1% still I can consider... overall it was still 'superb'... But VM, i'm not sure about the votes.... the reply, "<RM0.50> thank you... bla bla bla..." came in to mine until 12.47am. And all 69 went through... i started vote when 1st contestants started dancing until i saw 8tv crew passed the results envelope to Jehan... Why IZ and JO left? simple, not enough votes.... guys/ girls... more votes pls.... the first 10 minutes is very crucial... we lost Sean before... now Isaac... more votes, more votes and more votes!!!!

all the best! MJ, I. LOVE. YOU. You know, even at the 'redemption' time i was already trying to remember the contestant number and voting voting voting already... we think alike ek.. heheeheh MJ the impartial!!!! Yoo hooo! I'm glad you really gave honest opinion here and not afraid of being critisized as too critical... Keep it real, that's the way to go, bro! WL... i can't believe we're repeating the same mistake!!! I'll bet lots of people are thinking that Isaac has big fan base, sure no need to worry... as he'd prevailed once before... so maybe bcoz of that perception some don't vote... let's not let it happen to any of our favourite anymore!!!! Especially those that are NOT suppose to be there in the first place...

Waterlily, sorry ya. For me when a dance is off by 1second, it still count. This is my point of view. Nothing big I know. For me, I just watching and yes, I love to dance too but do not have the courage to take part in this kind of big events(yes, maybe small one like competition within the field I work in or within company I still take part). So, of coz I will see and feel the dance instead of contestants.
Don't worry lah, all I written here was what I saw and felt during the event. It is just a personal view, nothing much. As long as all contestants are supported by their own supporters, that is enuf. The things written in here are just for reference and for speaking out how were u feeling that time.

Hey guys, can u post ur your voting grumbles in the Grumbles section. There's a thread already started there for it. It will be easier for 8TV to review it and respond quickly if it was all in one place.
Thanks a bunch.
