Oh yeah, I've got one question/complaint/rant: Some of my friends who came to watch the show were stopped by the Ruums staff from entering (this is around 9.45pm, I think)... The staff said that after a certain time, people had to pay to enter. My friends were forced to fork up RM30 each! I thought admission was free! Dragon, could you enlighten me a little here? Yeah, dragon you must really investigate & find out what had happened? 1. Is Ruums having cover charge on Thursday nite after 9.30pm? FYI, another friend came in just before 10pm did not subject to this RM30/= charge. 2. Does cover charge include 1st drink? Our friends asked this question. 3. Assuming the cover charge don't include drink...what about a receipt? Is there any being issued? Our friends asked for a receipt. Even the car park outside Ruums issued RM4/= & RM5/= receipts. 4. If all the above was NOT part of Ruums' terms & conditions for patronizing its establishment, why the charge of RM30/= each? 5. If the Ruums' staff/staffs on duty at the entrance on that specified time had asked for the charges, not only he/they did not issue receipts but had in fact breached Ruums' rules & regulations. This can lead to serious implication. The integrity of this/these staff is/are questionable. 6. In all due respect, "Ruums" gotta live up to its name as an established entertainment outlet. Dragon, pls find out and get to the bottom of it.

My opinion, Jo & Jimmy really SHINED yesterday.. Their performance was really cool~ Timing is so good.. Techniques nice.. Expression NAILED it~ This is what I think la.. haha..
Brancy & Firul surprised me so so much~ Eventhough personally I am not really into Firul so much but yesterday, really can feel his passion in the dance.. His movement was not so sharp but the connection between him and Brancy was really ON FIRE..
Sue & Isaac has performed well yesterday.. The choreo is definitly hard for both of them but they managed to perform well.. There was chemistry between both of them.. Eventhough later part, their timing is a bit out.. BUt still, I like their performance very much.. & not sure why Isaac has been chosen as one of the BOTTOM 4..
Noor & Alam.. The "perfect match" has once again won judges attentions so so much.. I still prefer Noor as she is so flexible and strong in any kind of dances.. As for Alam, maybe it was an easy dance for him yesterday.. He seems not that ENERGETIC compared to Noor but I heard someone said that maybe he just don wanna "TOO-OVERSHINE" Noor as this is out of her comfort zone.. I hv to agree with this after listening to it.. That's the partnership that I guess everyone is enjoying to support..
Nikki & Yuz.. Hmm.. Yuz is getting stronger and stronger each week.. he is good in all sorts of dances now.. Wow everyone almost everyweek now.. Very consistent performance from him each week.. And yesterday Broadway dance.. He was so cute and his expression + body language NAILED it so so well.. As for Nikki, I need to agree with Mr Pat.. She is lack of feminine side (just a bit) in this particular dance..
Becky & Dennis... ow!!!! Becky is so so SEXY this week~~ She is so good this week and I guess everyone is just looking at her la.. haha.. Sorry ar Dennis.. I like u as well but yesterday performance.. U were really not good enough.. Lack of the body movement..Eventhough ur expression can cover but still not good enough.. But feel really funny with Mr Ramli's comment.. ::it's like the oven is hot, not enough things to cook in:: ;D
Last but not the least, Orange & Vish.. Don wish to comment much on their performance already.. I just feel very sad to see them leave.. But it's how the show runs.. Every week we have to bare with this kind of feeling to see someone we like leaving the show.. I really wish both of them All The Best and will not give up dancing.. I KNOW THEY WONT GIVE UP!!
That's just my little opinions.. No hard feelings to all the contestants' fans here.. Just sharing..

Rentak Sejuta¡¦s Weekly Review: Episode 8 - Top 14 (Part 1) 8 weeks have gone by so fast and I can tell you doing this is not an easy job. Hours and hours are just spent looking at and editing hundreds of photographs taken during each live show, trying to find the right ones to put on the site and also to make as many people happy to see themselves online as well. Writing weekly reviews is also pretty difficult especially when you are trying to be as objective as possible in your opinions, and as such having to pour through so many clips over & over again (apart from watching the live show) to ensure that every contestant gets a fair shake in your commentary. And not forgetting having to gauge the many comments from the judges, our very own opinionated crew, the fans and of course Joe Public himself. I can tell you Rentak Sejuta¡¦s post mortem of the show starts immediately after each live show, while our crew is having supper at De Jumpa at the back of Life Centre. And it becomes even harder as contestants are eliminated each week, and we are left to dissect the performance of such outstanding batch of contenders, that are still left in the competition. I am certain that the judges will be having a real hard time next week in their bottom 4 selection. And I am sure many hearts will be broken as well. Before I comment on this week¡¦s performances, I am a bit confused about the genre Vish & Orange were dancing in. According to the press sheet given out by 8TV, the style they attempted was MALAYSIAN Contemporary; where else it was announced during the show as Malay Contemporary. I presume that Malaysian Contemporary would mean a modern undertaking or interpretation of ethnic styles associated to the various Asian cultures in this country, and Malay Contemporary would mean Malay ethnic styles in a modern way. That¡¦s all fine by me, but what I could not really understand is why an English song ¡V ¡¥Unwritten¡¨ (which did not even seem nearly appropriate enough) was used for either style. Perhaps, someone could enlighten me, because I certainly did not understand it at all, and I felt it may have affected the dancers psyche as well (How do you perform to something that does not match with the dance style?). I was also surprised that the judges did not catch that and comment on it, or perhaps they have a different take on things. As a layman, and not a professional dancer/choreographer, it just felt extremely strange to me. I am sure many others found it odd too. I am also curious as to who actually picks the music for the contestants, and how it is assigned. One more thing that became glaringly apparent is about having the right partners. The level of technical competence of your dance partner determines the technical complexities of the routines that you can perform. So it does not matter if you are really the most formidable dancer, your routine (and destiny) still lies in the capability of the partner you have been assigned with, and no matter how determined both of you are to make it work, you are still limited by the level of the weaker partner. Like they say, ¡§A chain is only as strong as its weakest link.¡¨ Which means others contestants who are paired more favorably will have a distinct advantage over you; since you are stuck with the same partner until one gets eliminated (that is if you yourself is not eliminated as well). In the original version of the show, partners are redrawn every week, thus reducing this risk. Just something to think about. (Footnote: Our context of weaker dancers does not in anyway imply that the dancers are without merit, as they do excel in their own styles which may be even more complex than the styles featured in SYTYCD. Complex & artistic dances like Ballet or Barata Natyam will be impossible to learn in the allocated period of time. I don¡¦t think any of the contestants will be able to move around on their toes without years of grounding in ballet, or tell a story with elaborate, intricate and subtle eye-head-body-feet movements of Indian Classical Dance which requires years of disciplined schooling as well) (End of Part 1¡K to be continued)By the way check out the fans who make it to Ruums every week without fail. Give them all a big hand. They deserve it. Students from Stamford college arriving. Mama mia....where can I enrol?Dashing, Dangerous, Dynamite, DENNIS!!!! Its true the clasical indian dance is very hard to get and as well as ballet. It is something that most of the dancers start from their early age. But I've seen a lot of ballet dancer become real good dancers what i think Vish also can.
