The 18 age limit is set by Ruums in accordance to government regulations as Ruums is an entertainment (disco/pub) outlet that serves alcoholic beverages. 8TV has no control regarding the age limit ruling as the venue is subject to rules governing entertainment outlets of such nature.
My question simply was whether the venue management can make exceptions for parents who brought along their young children. The question rose because even though we were informed that it was strictly not allowed, there were still young children (accompanied by their parents) seen on the premises during the live shows.
A clarification from the organisers would be much appreciated.
However it is strictly no no to underage individuals who turn up at the venue, even if they came with a bunch of friends who meet the criteria.

Ruums = pub/ lounge = no under 18 allowed = comprende? ;-)
no offence to the youngsters (under 18), but this is 8tv's call... if they want audiences of 18 and below, they shud not have Ruums as their official venue...

Err actually Ruums is a lil too small for all of us to squeeze in to watch.. but since its a sponsored venue, then cannot complain too much la.. Anyway, last week Top14 was very smoothly planned and everyone was lead by groups to their fair stand. Very good job to 8TV..
For Under 18, i think this is government's rules lar and must be carried out to all Entertainment outlets not 8TV.. coz i remembered during OIAM, kids were standin right in front of the stage to support Suki..
Anyway, if really 8TV wan a bigger venue next time, perhaps i can recommend a few.. hehe!
