2nd Malaysia Tourism Gold Summit 2021 (27 - 30/09/2021)
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a massive social and economic impact. Both developed and developing economies have been hit. The restart of tourism will help kickstart recovery and growth. It is essential that the benefits this will bring are enjoyed widely and fairly. The shift in travel behaviour towards rural tourism has created new opportunities for tourism stakeholders to rethink development in a way that is more inclusive, sustainable, and resilient.
In conjunction with World Tourism Day 2021 as a day to focus on Tourism for Inclusive Growth, Malaysia Tourism Council will organise the 2nd Malaysia Tourism Gold Summit 2021. This is an opportunity to look beyond tourism statistics and acknowledge that, behind every number, there is a person. By emphasising tourism and sustainable development, the industry can help ensure a fairer distribution of the benefits from tourism, including job creation, the protection of natural resources, infrastructure development and the empowerment of local communities.
2nd Malaysia Tourism Gold Summit 2021 is a virtual 3 days event that brings together thought leaders and tourism stakeholders from across the globe. Comprised of expert speaker sessions and tourism players, this event will address important issues within the responsible development of tourism post-pandemic.
Thanks to the generous support of our event partners and sponsors, registration is complimentary for all.
