COVID-19 Status Update & Cluster Report (30/11/2020)
1,212 new COVID19 cases reported nationwide today along with a welcome 2,112 recoveries, leaving 10,578 active cases still receiving treatment. Of these 113 are in ICU with 42 on ventilators. A total of 54,759 have recovered thus far, Unfortunately, 3 more deaths have been reported today, taking the total fatalities to 360. Rentak Sejuta extends our deepest condolences to the bereaved.
A promising 1,234 recoveries were reported in Selangor today. Unfortunately, Selangor also saw 402 new cases today, the highest among all the states, with 204 from existing clusters. Two new clusters were also announced in Selangor today - Jalan Lapan and Batu Sembilan, both reporting a total of 9 new cases. The total active cases in Selangor now stands at 6,121, the highest number of active cases in the nation at the moment.
Kuala Lumpur reported 119 new cases with 225 recoveries, leaving 1,791 active cases under treatment. 10 of the new cases were connected to the Jalan Lapan cluster. Putrajaya saw 1 new case and 1 recovery with13 cases still active.
Sabah reported 326 new cases with 459 recoveries. Total active cases in the state now stand at 5,388. Neighbours Labuan saw 30 new cases and 22 recoveries with 124 active cases still under treatment. With 2 new cases and 2 recoveries, Sarawak's active cases remain at 16.
60 new cases were reported in Penang with 19 recoveries, leaving 430 active cases still undergoing treatment. Perak saw 43 new cases and 66 recoveries, with 866 active cases remaining, more than double of Penang. Kedah is still dealing with 283 active cases after 31 new cases were reported today with 4 recoveries. With 1 recovery and no new cases reported, there are no more known active cases in Perlis.
With another 141 new cases and 49 recoveries, Negeri Sembilan is the state with the fourth-highest active cases in the nation with 1,376 cases. Johor saw 54 new cases and 17 recoveries today. 7 of the cases were from the new Nibong cluster. The state's' active cases now stand at 364. The active case in Melaka stands at 16 after 4 recoveries and no new cases were reported today.
With 1 new case and 8 recoveries, Kelantan's active cases now stand at 128, while Terengganu reported only 8 active cases after 1 more patient recovered and zero new cases were registered. Pahang's active cases went up to 2 after 2 new cases were reported today.
The cumulative total of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia now stands at 65,697.
