COVID-19 Status Update & Cluster Report (29/11/2020)
1309 new COVID19 cases reported nationwide today along with 1,333 recoveries, leaving 11,481 active cases still receiving treatment. Of these 116 are in ICU with 42 on ventilators. A total of 52,647 have recovered thus far, Unfortunately, 3 more deaths have been reported today, taking the total fatalities to 357. Rentak Sejuta extends our deepest condolences to the bereaved.
Kuala Lumpur reported a record number of new cases today at 493. 450 of these cases involve existing clusters that are tied mostly to construction sites, with 23 new cases coming from the new Sungai Mulia Construction Site cluster in Setapak. On a positive note, Kuala Lumpur also announced 483 recoveries today.
Selangor reported 238 new cases and 407 recoveries with Putrajaya reporting 1 recovery and no new cases.
The number of new cases in Sabah has dropped to 290, along with 395 recoveries. Despite 8 recoveries, Labuan reported another 35 new cases. Sarawak kept things in order with no cases reported today.
77 new cases were reported in Perak along with 16 recoveries, 52 in Kedah with 6 recoveries and 46 in Penang with 11 recoveries. Perlis survived another day with a clean sheet.
Johore saw 37 new cases and 13 recoveries, Negeri Sembilan saw 32 with an encouraging 55 recoveries, while Melaka stayed low with 1 new case and 4 recoveries.
On the East Coast Kelantan reported 6 new cases and 3 recoveries, while Terengganu and Pahang saw 1 case each.
Apart from the new cluster in Kuala Lumpur, 3 more clusters were also declared today - Yayasan in Klang, Selangor, Batu in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah and Hilir involving Kota Bahru, Bachok & Tumpat in Kelantan.
The cumulative total of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia now stands at 64,485.
