COVID-19 Status Update & Cluster Report (22/11/2020)
The number of positive #COVID19 cases nationwide bumped up a bit to 1,096, while 1,104 patients recovered leaving the total number of active cases being treated at 12,843 today. 106 of these active cases are in ICU with 46 of them on ventilators. Unfortunately, another 3 people, all of them from Sabah, died today, taking the total deaths to 335. Rentak Sejuta extends our deepest condolences to the bereaved. The total cumulative COVID-19 cases now stand at 54,775.
3 more new clusters were announced today - Bayam Indah in Kedah, Pengkalan Barat in Perak and Bakti in Negeri Sembilan.
A record 603 new cases were reported in Selangor along with 282 recoveries. Kuala Lumpur reported 30 new cases and Putrajaya 1, with both Federal district announcing a collective total of 208 recoveries today.
Sabah is slowly making progress with 311 cases being reported today and 398 recoveries. Labuan saw 11 new cases with 9 recoveries. No cases were reported in Sarawak but 5 were discharged.
Perak takes an upswing with 55 new cases despite 47 recoveries today. Penang saw 15 new cases with 33 recoveries, Kedah 16 with 6 recoveries while Perlis breaks the egg and registers a new case today.
No new cases were reported in the East Coast states of Pahang & Terengganu, while Kelantan registered another 8 with just 2 recoveries announced.
Down South, the recently hard-hit Negeri Sembilan saw new cases dropping slightly to 29, but with a welcome 96 cases recovering. Melaka saw 7 recoveries but picked up 5 more new cases, while Johore discharged 11 patients but picked up 9 more.
