COVID-19 Status Update & Cluster Report (18/11/2020)
A significant drop in new COVID-19 cases nationwide with 660 reported nationwide. 660 cases were also discharged today leaving 12,814 cases being treated with 103 cases in ICU and with 41 of them on ventilators. A total of 37,254 cases have been discharged so far, Sadly 4 more deaths were recorded today. Rentak Sejuta extends our deepest condolences to the bereaved.
Sabah stays down with 387 cases and 237 recoveries, with Labuan reporting 13 new cases and 25 recoveries. Sarawak reported 3 new cases and 13 recoveries. Three new clusters were also announced in Sabah - Sabaru, Tomher and Garden.
Numbers dropped significantly in Peninsular Malaysia as well. Kuala Lumpur reported 31 cases today while Selangor saw 141 new cases but a recovery of 170, with Putrajaya seeing 1 new case.
Up North, Penang saw 16 new cases with 31 recoveries, Perak 16 new cases with 22 recoveries and Kedah with 11 new cases and 8 recoveries. Perlis remained the same with no new cases being reported.
Negeri Sembilan also saw significant progress with 109 recoveries but just 31 new cases today. Melaka balanced out with 4 new cases and 4 recoveries, along with Johore who also saw 3 for 3.
The situation on the East Coast saw 3 new cases being reported in Kelantan, while both Pahang and Terengganu reporting zero new cases.
Despite the welcome drop in cases, the overall cumulative total of COVID-19 cases surpassed the 50K mark with 50,390 cases.
