COVID-19 Status Update (4.00 pm, 18/6/2020)
FOREIGN COVID-19 CASES BEGIN DECREASING AS LOCALS MAINTAIN SINGLE DIGIT

Fourteen new #COVID19 cases were reported today, 3 imported cases and 11 locally transmitted cases of which 6 are locals and 8 are foreigners. Of the locals, 2 cases involved staff of the Immigration Detention Depot (DTI) cluster in Bukit Jali, 1 from pre-surgery testing at the Hospital Umum Sarawak (HUS) in Kuching and another from someone who went overseas on an urgent matter and 2 Malaysians who had returned from abroad.
The cases among the foreigners included 2 that were close contacts of their infected housemates from 2 different households in Kuala Lumpur, 1 was a close contact of a family member in Selangor, 2 involved workers at a construction site in Sarawak, 1 involved a person under detention at the District Police HQ (IPD) in Penampang Sabah and another from Perak who had just applied to return to his country, and a Malaysian resident who had returned from abroad.
This brings the total number of cumulative cases to 8,529.
The total number of cases discharged within the last 24 hours is 127, with 4 in ICU and with none on respirators, leaving 408 active cases being treated. Thankfully no deaths were reported with total fatalities remaining at 121. The total number of patients discharged thus far is 8,000 which is 93.8% of the total number of cases.
The only red zone in the country is in Rembau, Negeri Sembilan. Pulau Pinang, Perlis, Kedah, Kelantan and Johore remain as green zones.
