COVID-19 Status Update (4.00 pm, 11/6/2020)RMCO BEGINS WITH ONE NEW LOCALLY TRANSMITTED COVID-19 CASE INVOLVING A CITIZENStory: Dragon Visuals: Kementerian Kesihatan MalaysiaThirty-one new COVID-19 cases were reported yesterday, the first day of Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO), of which 20 were locally transmitted and 11 from residents who returned home from abroad. Sixteen of the locally transmitted cases were from the heavily infected Pedas chicken factory cluster, which has seen its cumulative total reach 276, with 262 of these cases involving foreign workers. So far 192 of these cases have already made a recovery, with no deaths reported thus far. One case each was reported from the Kampung Sungai Lui cluster in Hulu Langat and the Kuala Lumpur cleaning company cluster, and a foreign worker in Kuala Lumpur who was just tested. All except 1 case from Selangor, involved foreigners. The total cumulative cases of COVID-19 in Malaysia now stands at 8,369. Of the 11 imported cases reported yesterday, all were residents of Melaka, who had returned from Egypt. Fifty-one cases were discharged yesterday reducing the total active cases to 1,186, with 5 in ICU but none on respirators. Fortunately, no deaths were reported yesterday, keeping the fatalities at 118. The Solok Duku Madrasah cluster which saw 4 cases and zero fatalities, was ended yesterday.
