COVID-19 Status Update (12.00 pm, 28/5/2020)MALAYSIA ON THE VERGE OF HITTING SINGLE DIGIT NEW COVID-19 CASES AS INFECTION NUMBERS TUMBLEStory: Dragon Visuals: Kementerian Kesihatan MalaysiaMalaysia seems to be on the road to recovery as the number of COVID-19 cases plunged to low 2 digit numbers in the last two days after a whopping spike among foreign nationals under detention on 26th May 2020. The total number of COVID-19 cases registered today dropped to 10, of which 5 involved ex-pats, with zero imported cases being reported, bringing the cumulative total to 7,629. 7 of the new cases were recorded in Kuala Lumpur with 2 in Selangor and one more in Pahang. Three of those cases in Kuala Lumpur were from the Pudu cluster, with one each from the Chow Kit and Immigration Detention Depot (DTI) Bukit Jalil clusters. Eighty-two cases were discharged in the last 24 hours, leaving 1,345 active cases being treated in hospitals, of which 8 are in ICU and 4 on respirators. Thankfully no deaths were reported. So far a total of 6,169 patients have recovered from the virus, with 115 succumbing to it.
