Led by conductor Mr Mike Chiang, the Nanyang Philharmonic Chinese Orchestra aims to challenge boundaries once again by bringing you a concert with exciting new works which will definitely be a treat for the senses. Titled “Impressions”, this concert is intended to use music to paint imaginative and exciting scenes in the minds of the listeners, allowing for a deeper level of music appreciation.
This performance includes two pieces premiering in Singapore, they are “Seven Colours of Harmony: 1st mov. Green: Song of the Wind (Mongolian)” and the solo Dizi piece “Dawn and Dusk”. Another highlight will be the piece “Prince Yin Zhen’s Painting of the Fair Lady”, which fully captures the essence of this concert’s theme.
