Band Concept
The band is a contemporary world music improvisational band with an open concept. It adheres to the idea of combining traditional folk music with avantgarde, fashionable and diversified music.
The band is based on the perspective of Chinese culture, holds a respective and inclusive attitude, and keeps close to the modern people. It aims at
protecting and inheriting the spirit of traditional music culture by absorbing the fresh blood of different music cultures and performing contemporary
world music in a cross-border way.
Band Features
“Fusion”, “improvisation” and “cosmopolitanism” are the main characteristics of the band. It strives to give full play to the musical nature and cultural characteristics of each band member. In the collision and communication of different cultures, it tries to explore and discover the beauty of world music and the energy of different musical cultures. Using the main perspective of Chinese culture, the improvisation is accompanied by the integrating Chinese, Western and world music, which leads to a new kind of music based on the traditional culture. “The Music The World” walks around the world with fusion. And it inherits, develops and innovates music by the way of walking around the world.

He is currently a professor, doctoral tutor, director of the Department of Music of the Central Conservatory of Music, director of the Department
of Teaching and Research of the National Folk Music of the World, deputy chairman of the "World Folk Music Teaching Research Association of China", and artistic director and series of the "World Music Week" large-scale international music academic seminar Concert Director.
He has taught courses such as "World Folk Music", "Global Music Culture", "World Music in Film and Television", "Indian Music Culture", "Indian Film
Music" and "Computer Music Composition".
As a composer, he has composed more than 30 works such as musicals, music, song, dance, and songs, and has composed music for more than 15 films and TV series and more than 600 episodes of animation series. From 2004 to 2009, as the leader of the expert lecture group of the "Western Composition Theory Training Course" of the Ministry of Culture of China, he went to Tibet, Xinjiang, Gansu, Guizhou, Yunnan, Qinghai and other places to hold lectures on "World Ethnic Music and Composition". In February 2017, he composed the ancient Yi opera "Zhao Taiji", which was invited to perform at the 133th Nice Carnival in France, and performed with great success in the National Theatre of Nice, France, and was awarded the best performance by the City of Nice.
Qiao He (Band Leader, Pipa)
Young pipa player, she graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music with a major in pipa performance. She started learning the traditional Chinese musical instrument pipa at the age of 4. She attended the Middle School of the Central Conservatory of Music at the age of 13. She was influenced by traditional Chinese culture at a very young age. Creative, with solid professional playing skills and high crossborder cultural communication skills. At the age of 14, she joined the world-renowned bands such as "12 Women's Music Square" and "Listen to China" as the lead of pipa. Among her masterpieces "Love", "Song Song", "Totora", etc., her pipa performances have been well received. She has cooperated with well-known symphony orchestras and theaters at home and abroad, held solo solo concerts, participated in state visits and exchanges, visited the United States, Europe,
Japan, and other countries, and was invited to a number of American universities for academic exchanges and lectures.
Part of the performance experience is as follows:
Lead performer in the "The Sound of China" national music tour in the United States in 2019. Participated in the "Baihua Welcome Spring" National Cultural Federation Spring Festival Gala; invited by the bid committee of the 2022 Winter Olympics to participate in foreign performances in the "Glamour Beijing" of the National Theatre; invited to participate in the opening of the “Belt and Road” performances, performing for heads of state and wives.
Kang ZhengYi (Guitar)
Young guitarist, graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music. Studied guitar since young, and is good at creating and playing electric guitars and acoustic guitars in various styles including blues, fusion, funk, rock, metal, etc.
He is the spokesperson for the Schecter guitar brand. Has worked as a guitar arranger and performer for many large-scale music programs, movies, TV series, musicals and songs. Original works, "Wind" and "Kun", were well received in the 4th and 5th Beijing Youth Art Festival of the Central Conservatory of Music.
In June 2017, he was interviewed with other music figures in China Youth Magazine; in 2018, he participated in the Shanghai International Musical
Instrument Expo. In November 2015, as a special guest of the Central Conservatory of Music, he participated in the special performance of "World
Music Week". In April 2018, the original song “Haisi Caprice” was performed at the Ningbo Maritime Silk Road International Music Festival.
Yao Zhu (Flute)
He has learned a variety of instrumental music since childhood and has gradually come into contact with various forms of music. The style has
traveled between nationality, ancient classics, pop, and jazz blues. He is currently a flutist with the Zhao Lei Band, Three o'clock, and a sixteen
string shakuhachi musician. He has repeatedly performed cultural exchange performances in Chicago, Vancouver, Algeria and other places with the Ministry of Culture.
As a folk musician, he participated in Liu Huan's "Listen to Our Age-Liu Huan 2012" Wukesong New Year's Concert, Rolla Fitch's 2013 Tour Wukesong
Stadium Station, Dong Zhen's 2017 National Tour, Zhao Lei 2012-present Largescale live performances including national touring shows, variety shows and evening shows that have been active in various TV stations such as "I am a singer", "Fenghua National Music", and "Beijing TV Lantern Festival".
Sarit Das (Tabla)
Indian Tabla drum performer, Indian music producer. Born in a family of Indian musicians, enlightened by his mother, and then learned about Tabla drums with legendary Tabla drum master Pandit Gyan Prakash Ghosh, shaping his talent. He also studied the Indian accordion as well as a variety of Indian classical instruments and Western music under the guidance of Shankar Banerjee, and has extensive exposure to different types of music.
From 1990 to 2000, Sarrit began playing tabla drums at important music festivals in India and overseas, and his career has taken off and progressed tremendously. He has accompanied many Indian classical music masters with proficient skills, including Vidushi Girija Devi, Ustad Sabri Khan, Pandit Bhajan Sopori, Pandit Ajay Chakraborty, Ustad Sultan Khan, etc., and has toured more than 20 countries in the world, with many well-known Western music musicians and composers have won high praise.
Working on major radio and television stations in India, he has provided creative music for Bollywood films, documentaries, plays, ballets, solo musicians, or music albums by major composers across India and abroad. He is a creative artist who can use music to connect the mind, spirituality, and senses to create a whole human perception. He is currently a guest lecturer at the Central Conservatory of Music and Tianjin Conservatory of Music.
Liu Sen (Music arranger, keyboard)
Formerly known as Liu Yan, a well-known music producer. After graduating from the Computer Music Production Department of the Central Conservatory of Music with Professor Yu Anping in 1997, he began to be active in the popular music production music scene in Beijing. He used to be the keyboard player of Wang Feng Band; from 2005 to 2009, he joined the network show digital media, and later served as the music director of "Internet Show" and
"September Record Company". He is currently the music director of Beijing Lewujie Cultural Communication Co., Ltd. Artists who have cooperated include Liu Huan, Lao Lang, Zhao Lei, Sun Yue, Li Bingbing, Hou Xiangting, Xiao Songjia, Shen Qing, Ma Tiao, Zhong Lifeng, Cheng Yi and other domestic first-line singers and stars. Cooperating band: Ziri Band Wang Feng Band Zhang Chu Band Zhao Lei Band is the keyboard.
