BRAZILIAN BEAUTY CROWNED MRS TOURISM QUEEN INTERNATIONAL 2018

Mrs Brazil, Ana De Backer a.ka. Ana Luisa Castro was crowned Mrs Tourism Queen International 2018, at the majestic Shangri-La Hotel in Kuala Lumpur last night. The svelte globetrotting 26 year old international model from Vitorio, Espirito Santo, beat finalists from 27 other countries to win the coveted title.
It was 8th time lucky for the confident and elegant business management graduate, in her very first "Mrs" pageant, after competing in the "Miss" categories in seven other pageants previously. Although she won Miss Brazil World (Miss Mundo Brasil) in 2015, her victory only lasted 24 hours, as she had to give up her crown on a technicality.
Ana is currently married to Belgian model and actor Tanguy Backer, and travels the world on assignment, while residing between Brazil and Belgium. Ana who has had a stint as a reporter, aspires to be a television presenter. She is also actively involved in social projects that focuses on education for young children and teens.
A fitness enthusiast, Ana enjoys visiting the gym regularly and practicing yoga. She also plays soccer and bowls. The proud and jubilant beauty who speaks fluent Portuguese, English and French, looks forward to and taking advantage of all the opportunities that will open up to her during her reign as Mrs Tourism Queen International 2018, and may consider competing in other major pageants once her terms of service with the license holder is completed.
Coming in as first runner up was 38 year old Nancy Cecilia Esparza Tinajero from Mexico, while 37 year old Lisinda Hodgskin from South Africa took the 2nd runners up spot. Our very own Katrina Loo Siew Ling, a 40 year old from Malaysia and Enkhtuya Gantulga, a 26 year old from Mongolia, were placed fourth and fifth respectively, to complete the top 5 in the prestigious new pageant that honours married and senior women.
In conjunction with MQTI, Honey Cho Cho Mynt (far left), a 36 year old from Myanmar was crowned Mrs Global Tourism 2018. She also won the Mrs Tourism Queen 2018 Best Talent subsidiary title.

Ahmad Wan, former beauty queen & active philanthropist Dato' Joneser Teh, image consultant & fashion designer Bon Zainal Harun, National Director of Mrs Malaysia Globe Isabelle Liow, Founder of Yinzi Events Madam Lim Siew Cheng, Founder of Nulnu & Empro Prof. Dr Coco Alex Yeoh, Founder of Christte Global Marketing Christte CY Chua and IIFW Ambassador & music educationist Datin Caroline Wong.
Mrs Tourism Queen International (MTQI) was created by top pageant franchisor ERM Marketing, who are the licensors for many of the top pageants in the world. The pageant focuses on providing unique opportunities to delegates from world over, to come together and share a common gold while fostering greater communication, culture, friendship and mutual understanding.
