Winners' say:
Roshan Jamrock (Producer of The Year): My dream is to break the stigma that you cannot survive doing music in Malaysia. My dream is that me and my brothers, our names are never forgotten and we make an impact in peoples lives. My dream is to make my countrymen JUMP as high and SCREAM as loud for us as they would for any “international” act. My dream is to help those in need. My dream is to make a difference. This award right here gives me the drive to go harder and strive to make these dreams come true.
Masia One (Best Collaboration) : “To receive it from a South East Asian based awards is a blessing as I begin my journey now to take all that I have learned from my life in the West and return to my roots in the East, spreading a universal message of independence, freedom and creativity. I hope through my example as an artist, ERRRYBODY can feel brave to pursue a dream no matter how unlikely or absurd. This award truly illustrates that in life, anything is possible”
Homogenic (Thank You For Existing): We feel greatly honored to receive this, and we will make sure that this will be major catalyst for us to produce better, finer works in the future. We took pieces of our friend's gloomy love stories, a pinch of our joyous experiences, bits of idealistic speech from our tutors, a handful of our feelings; our views of how an ideal world should be, and mixed it with catchy synth riffs to create our version of an ideal form of electronic music
