With a record breaking 1800 participants from all over the world, the 9th Asia Pacific Harmonica Festival held at the Berjaya Times Square Hotel & Convention Centre, from 3rd to 6th August, 2012, turned out to be a killer event for lovers of the harmonica. The four day event saw a total of 800 sessions in 67 categories of competition, two major live concerts - Symphony of Life Maestro Concert & Fusion of Harmonica Grand Talent Concert, Fun Stage Performances, Flash Mobs, product exhibits and even a Harmonica Forum, with fans literally being blown away by the scale of the proceedings.
The 9th Asia Pacific Harmonica Festival (APHF) which was officially launched by YB Senator Datuk Maglin Dennis D'Cruz, the Deputy Minister for Information, Communications & Culture on Saturday, 4th August, 2012, was organized by the Malaysia Harmonica Lovers Association, and co-organised by the Malaysia Chinese Cultural Society, Gagasan Pelajar Melayu Semenanjung and Young Malaysia Movement, with the support of the Ministry of Tourism Malaysia and Tourism Malaysia.
