Celebrated multiple award winning vocalist Muhammad Khairul Baharuddin, better known as Khai Bahar, officially launch his latest "Ratuku" single and music video at the Intercontinental Hotel in Kuala Lumpur tonight. The event was graced and officiated by His Royal Highness DYTM Raja Muda Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Ibni Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail.
Ratuku which was composed by Khai, Dr Azrul Azlan and Anwar Husaini, with lyrics by Dr Azrul, was specially created for the Majlis Agama Islam Dan Adat Istiadat Melayu Perlis (MAIPs), whose patron is the Raja Muda Perlis. The song was developed to raise awareness on the importance of helping people with kidney disease or disorders. Khai was recently appointed as the ambassador for the Dialysis Centre of the Hospital Tuanku Fauziah, Perlis.
"This song is designed to awaken the consciousness of ordinary folks, to help those in need with sincerity.", Khai expressed at the launch. "What is interesting, is I cried real tears in the music video", he added.
Ratuku is his latest single following the 25-year-old singer's Satukan Rasa duet. Despite being in the limelight for only 3 years, Khai has been well received for his powerful and melodic vocals and is already considered as a more than capable replacement for established male powerhouses in the industry.
"For me, this song is not just about aural pleasures, but is about bringing positive change to people", Khai expanded. He hoped that Ratuku will receive positive reaction and engagement from its listeners. "Although I do not place high expectations for the song, its every crooner's dream that their song will excel and be well received." His top two singles have received over 50 million and 33 million views on YouTube. It will be no surprise if Ratuku follows a similar and successful path.
The music video also features His Royal Highness in several scenes. In his official address, the cheery Perlis Prince spoke in detail about MAIPs and their service to the public.
The music video is already available to view on Seventeen Eleven Music's YouTube channel and is already available on all major digital platforms.
