About JR Richards
Over a career spanning over 20 years at the top of the music industry, JR has sold millions of records, penned chart-topping hit songs and performed around the world.
His achievements, include the US #1 hit 'Counting Blue Cars' (written by JR and performed by Dishwalla) that won the Billboard award for 'Rock Song of the Year 1996 and two ASCAP Awards for "Song of The Year" in both 1997 and 1998. Along with his Dishwalla bandmates, he released five definitive records, including the Platinum-selling 'Pet Your Friends".
Now JR is an Independent Artist releasing his first solo album "A Beautiful End" in 2009 and recently releasing his 2nd solo album "Honore et Amore" and an all acoustic album called "Stripped".
About Awi Rafael
Awi Rafael was born on 23rd July 1986 in Singapore. The 28 year old singer/songwriter is currently signed under Warner Music Malaysia and has released 2 albums. Making his debut in the pop music industry, he captured the hearts of Malaysian fans through his #1 hit singles ‘Pulanglah’ and ‘Bila Aku Jatuh Cinta’. He was a former lead vocalist of BHUMIBAND, an award-winning group in Anugerah Planet Music for “Album Terbaik” (Best Album) and “Lagu Terbaik”(Best Song) through the single “Goda” from the film “Remp-It” and “Oh Kasih”.
Today, Awi Rafael has around 36000 thousand fans in Facebook and over 30000 thousand followers in Twitter. His ever-growing fan club is also known as AwiDDicted Fan Club. His brand new 2nd album, ‘Asalkan Aku OK’ have also been released recently, with 9 tracks fully written by Awi, and the JV single 'Kalau Aku Kaya' w Altimet (Kartel Records) hit #1 on radio charts and won song #3 on the exclusive music awards, AJL28
Continuing the success of his first album, Awi Rafael’s second album, ‘Asalkan Aku OK’ was released in 2012. The album consists of 9 tracks, which he had written and composed himself. The album is described to be of more matured insights, with more touch of romance, societal and at the same time highlighting the elements of religion; the album’s mastering process was also done in Abbey Road, London (where The Beatles once recorded their album).
The song ‘Asalkan Aku OK’ has ranked #1 on local request charts, with an official release of it’s Music video on MTV ASIA. Awi’s wardrobe was sponsored by Levis, exclusively for the video.
Awi is currently working on an International deal, to showcase more songs for himself, as well as his own song publishing company, Runaway Productions
