THE MOD HOUSE SHOW APPRECIATION TO TALENTS AFTER WINNING FASHION STYLING AWARD 2019 AT THE CANNES FILM FESTIVAL
Mr Ho Kok Loong, founder of the Mod House officially announced another win for our community of Malaysian fashion designers this morning at the Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur.
On the 25th of May, Mr. Ho was presented with the most Outstanding Fashion Styling Award 2019 at the 4th Global Short Film Awards, the award was conferred to him by the founder and director of the Global Short Film Awards, Mr. Andres Aquino during the red carpet gala dinner in Cannes at the Carlton International Hotel.
Audiences at the Cannes gala dinner were wowed by Mr. Ho’s spectacular Gothiclistic Oriental collection of couture gowns, that had elements of old chinese Chin Dynasty calligraphy and zentangle art embroidery.
This morning, Mr. Ho showed his appreciation to the producer of the catwalk performance Miss Tracy Low, together with a team of talents and models; Chilla Cha, Datin Geraldine, Renee Tang, Yen Lee, Joane Wong, Kristin Kan, Amanda Chan, Carolyn Qi Qi, Ammetta Malhotra and Manise Yong; hair and make-up artist Su Su Ngo; as they were all pivotally involved in the Cannes runway show.
“I am very blessed to have such a dedicated, hardworking team of talents with me on this journey to Cannes”, praised Mr. Ho “Although some of the talents have never had any runway experience, the worked hard to deliver the feel and emotion of my pieces on the catwalk”.
Mr. Ho also acknowledged the creative contributions to Madam Evelyn Chen and Madam Yau Chuan Miin, as they were inspirational to the embroidery craftsmanship for the pieces in the Gothiclistic Oriental collection.
