CULTURAL DIVERSITY, EXCHANGE & GLOBAL FRIENDSHIP SHINE AT LKW'S GROWING CULTURAL FESTIVAL

Limkokwing University of Creative Technology celebrated its global diversity with its colourful, entertaining and enriching sixth edition of it's well known International Cultural Festival recently. The record-breaking international festival with delegates from 110 countries, made it into the Malaysia Book of Records for the "The Most Number of Countries' Delegates Participating in A
Cultural Festival".
Themed “Be Fly”, the festival which saw more than 15,000 attendees, was an opportunity for students of Limkokwing University and the general public to travel the world without having to leave Malaysia. Curious visitors were able to visit booths from over 40 countries that was constructed by more than 600 students, and also enjoy a unique cultural concert, that also included Malaysian pop stars Joe Flizzow and DeFam. It was a clear and defining testimony of the cultural diversity found at Asia’s most international University and in Malaysia.
Gracing the event were HRH Sultanah Pahang Sultanah Hajjah Kalsom, Chancellor of Limkokwing University; Yang Amat Mulia Tengku Abdul Fahd Mu'adzam Shah Ibni Sultan Ahmad Shah Al-Musta'in of Pahang; Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Dr Lim Kok Wing, Founder & President of Limkokwing University; Dato' Tiffanee Marie Lim, Vice President, Brand Creativity and Talent Development, Limkokwing Worldwide, Deborah Henry, Co-founder of Fugee School and former Miss Universe Malaysia; and Norman Shay, a Creative Movement Director & Fashion Choreographer; Welsh fashion designer, Julien Macdonald OBE and Jane Reed, Director of Digital, Creative and Business at Sunderland College.
With campuses in 14 countries across 3 continents, students of Limkokwing University are given with the opportunities to create global friendships by studying together with students from more than 165 countries. It is the only Malaysian institution invited to be a part of the United Nations’ Academic Impact program that highlights a commitment to provide educational opportunity for all people regardless of gender, race, religion, or ethnicity, a
commitment to encourage global citizenship through education, and sustainability.
