I’ve been in the entertainment business since I was a child. I loved entertaining people and my parents were very encouraging. I started out acting and achieved some success winning the Best Child Actor at the 18th Malaysian Film Festival
Despite the success as an actor, I wanted to branch out to do more. I wanted to test myself beyond what I was comfortable with. I’ve always loved music and sound. I decided to take up beatboxing after watching some clips on YouTube. There was nobody to teach me so I taught myself. People thought I was crazy for doing it.
I practiced for days. Days turned into months. Months turned into years. I was obsessed by it.
Everywhere I went I heard beats and sounds that inspired me. Finally, after years of training, I entered the Beatbox World Championships in 2009 in Berlin. I came in 9th. The music hasn’t stopped since then.

My parents have been in the music industry since I was a little kid and I have been surrounded by music since then. I was heavily influenced by Hip-Hop and achieved great success as a rapper.
Despite the success as a rapper, I wanted to challenge myself to achieve more in this music industry. To go beyond my comfort-zone. I decided to be a DJ and be exposed to the different genre. I could have played safe and only do what I am best at. But I wanted to challenge myself, I wanted a change.
I developed a new music that can’t really be labelled into a specific genre. I didn’t know how the fans would react to this but I decided to give it a try. The fans loved it! I took the risk in choosing this path and it was one of the biggest decisions I have made. Eventually it’s all paid off.
Kyoto Protocol
We were all just a bunch of guys hanging out. We had a mutual passion for rock and roll but we never really did anything about it. We just performed at local bars singing our favorite cover songs.
After doing it for a while, we weren’t satisfied with our progress as musicians. We made a big decision to enter a music competition. We were nervous. We were afraid. What if we did really badly? Despite our fears, we decided to go for it.
In the end we got 2nd place and we haven’t looked back since. From then, we’ve been writing, performing and recording all our own original music. We’ve shared the stages with some of the biggest international names in the music industry. Now, we’ve just released our latest album, “Catch These Men” and we’re going on a massive tour. We took a risk and look at us now.
