Hear the stories that were written during the PWDC programme – stories of women from the local community who were interviewed by the writers of VOICES. Just as varied as the women who call Penang home, these are their unique stories.

Susan Barker is the author of the novels Sayonara Bar (2005) and The Orientalist and the Ghost (2008). Both novels have been longlisted for the Dylan Thomas Prize. Her third novel The Incarnations interweaves modern Beijing with tales from ancient China.
