What Yoga has been for her:
” I fell in Love with Yoga because it introduced me to freedom. I found a way to let go. I found a way to trust my path. It connected me to others in a very real way. When I am teaching I can see the energy and vulnerability in others. I become a mirror for them to see their disowned parts. Its a way for people to be completely in the moment, on the mat. The connection begins with the breath, then moves to the body. The deeper you go you begin to see yourself in a more honest way. You balance, you give up control, you explore your blocks, your fears, your light, your love, your insides. You connect to the deepest parts of You. In stillness you find clarity. There is no division between you and others. The idea of Yoga, to Unite, Yoke, reminds you that you are never alone. You are whole, complete. It really makes sense the more you Practice. It connected me to purpose, to become a Seeker. I seek meaning, belonging, transformation, and most of all to be Free.”

Konstantin Miachin - Canada
Konstantin Miachin is the founder of Vikasa Yoga and an international teacher. He has been passionately learning, practicing, and teaching Yoga since 2004, and his passion has lead him to search out his own personal development throughout the world. Kosta’s years of worldly experience have led to deeper understanding of yoga as a personal journey and spiritual evolution. On his journey he spent months in the ashrams of the remote Himalayan mountains, trained in a Muay Thai Boxing camp, was initiated by the master monk and has undergone a sacred Sak-Yant ceremony in a temple in North-East Thailand, practiced yoga everywhere and found his true passion in Koh Samui, Thailand. This quest has brought him into contact with many different schools and masters all over the world, in places such as Rishi-kesh, Uttar Kashi, Gangotri, Kerala, Goa, Canada, Thailand, and Ukraine to name a few. Konstantin has completed teacher trainings and is certified in 4 different schools: Yoga 23 (Ukraine), Sivananda (India), Ashtanga Vinyasa (Thailand) and Andiappan Yoga (Hong Kong). Such an overwhelming wealth of knowledge has led to a deeper understanding of yoga practice as an ever evolving process – rather than a finalized system and the concept of “Evolution of Yoga” was born.
About Vikasa Yoga:
The concept of “evolution of yoga” is based on the notion that everything in the world evolves constantly, including human beings. Our primary goal as a human race and that of any living organism is evolution, and yoga can be seen as a tool to facilitate such evolution in any given individual. However, as the practice of yoga itself changes with time and place, as new techniques are being introduced, the approach is becoming more technical, precise and scientific, any definition of it as a system or style seems to be a limitation in itself. Therefore, the “Evolution of Yoga” approach has to be seen as an ever-evolving process, based on classical hatha yoga techniques, which anyone can be a part of, rather than a complete static system.
Recently a set of the most effective sequences has been developed to make up level one of the Vikasa Yoga system. There are about 20 basic sequences, which can be used in different order to make practice sets.

Ms. Mogana Anandha Jothi is a qualified Ayurvedic Therapist and Yoga Instructor at MAYI AyurYoga and has 24 years of experience in practising yoga and meditation. Her unique approach towards yoga from the perspective of psychology has led her to possess in-depth knowledge on women and child psychology and healing sciences. She conducts mind-body workshops along with yoga sessions for teenagers and women. Her growing interest on helping women to heal themselves and to deal with health issues specific to women, coupled with her exposure to herbs and making ayurvedic concoctions from her father who was himself an ayurvedic therapist, has led her to undertake a further study of ayurvedic bodyworks and herbs on her own and present them in the simplest way, which would enable women and others to grasp easily.
Cat Kabira - USA
Working with Cat Kabira is delightful, fun, deep, intense and transformational in a way that you never knew possible. You’ll leave her classes smiling, feeling softer and connected to yourself in a profound yet sweet way.
Cat has been practicing yoga and meditation since she was 18 years old while studying at Boston University. Her motivation for yoga and meditation was less about getting into shape and more about how to be with her-self. She arrived on the mat already working with eating disorders: anorexia and bulimia, suicidal thoughts, and body dymorphia; having experienced various abuse at a young age and having a certain penchant towards alcohol, smoking, and various drugs. Learning how to be present in her body was her greatest challenge and motivator to getting and staying on the mat.
What “hooked” Cat in the first place with yoga wasn’t so much the asana poses but the stillness between the postures. That’s when she could feel sensations that were almost magical; she somehow knew that her body was “speaking” to her while also healing itself.
Over the years, Cat’s practice has evolved from a more physically demanding challenge to more alignment-based and informed by subtler callings within the body. She teaches healthy alignment for each individual, how to stay grounded, listen to one’s heart, manifest one’s dreams and stay true to one-self. She is fascinated by the body’s “moment to moment” evolution and reminds students to enjoy the journey with as much grace, compassion and humor as possible.
Cat has studied fervently with many great yoga teachers from different traditions. Her work is also informed by her training as a Craniosacral therapist as well as other energetic modalities including some of the shamanic training that she has done in her past. Her specialty is her ability to see and sense her students in a deep way and to mirror healthy and empowering choices back to them.
Cat Kabira, originally from the United States, currently lives in Bali, Indonesia. She runs Foundational and Advanced Yoga Teacher Trainings as well as Retreats, Workshops and Classes globally.

Wicked Aura - Singapore
Audiences from Australia, the UK, Spain, the US, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Thailand, China, to South Korea have all been thrilled by Wicked Aura, a band from the multicultural concrete jungle of Singapore that mashes up glorious Afro-Brazilian rhythms with a chunk of funk, a slab of rock, a ton of reggae, a hint of spicy local ethnic rhythms and dizzying electronica, all packed into one explosive cocktail.
Apart from being the only Asian band whose song “Fight” was shortlisted in the Top 20 of the BBC’s search for the “The Next Big Thing” in 2007 – the global search for the future of music, the Wicked Boys have also shared festival bills worldwide with artists of varying styles and genres such as the Beastie Boys, Robert Plant, Femi Kuti, The Dhol Foundation, Chico Cesar, Public Opinion Afro Orchestra, Black Eyed Peas, Tambuco and many more.
The debut album, Louder Than Light, released to rave reviews in 2008, was as musically and stylistically eclectic as the rich cultural diversity of The Wickedboys. With the upcoming release of the second album, Beginning The End, Wicked Aura have truly found it’s voice – raw, funky, passionate, rock-tinged batucada that has to be seen and heard live to be believed.
Imagine one big party with Olodum jamming alongside Parliament Funkadelic and The Clash gatecrashing and you might have a slight idea of the sonic assault that is WICKED AURA.
Apart from performing for concerts and music festivals, the band is suitably available for corporate engagements, team-building sessions and educational workshops.
Wild Marmalade - Australia
The world’s original Drum ‘n’ Didgeridoo Band. Up-tempo, infectious and uniquely Australian, Wild Marmalade create a total dance sound with only a didgeridoo and a drum kit. Where music meets extreme sport this power duo create pure energy in abundance
Wild Marmalade are the High-Energy Organic Trance, Drum & Didgeridoo band originating from Byron Bay, Australia. Playing totally live with ferocious intensity, Wild Marmalade create inspired dance music without the use of any electronic machines.
By combining the unique rhythmic didgeridoo playing of Si Mullumby with the explosive energy and groove of Matt Goodwin on drum kit, Wild Marmalade have created a genre-defying meeting of the ancient sound of Australia’s didgeridoo with contemporary dance beats. This fusion brings forth a musical style similar to, but far beyond, what is usually created with computers and synthesizers by drawing on the raw energy and live dynamic of two world-class virtuosos.
By creating this brand new genre of live music Wild Marmalade have won over a global fan base, repeatedly toured Europe, Japan and Australia, supported major tours for internationally recognised artists and worked with Canada’s Cirque du Soliel in Las Vegas.
Wild Marmalade possess the unique ability to move people from all walks of life and have touched a surprisingly large cross section of audience type – from lovers of electronic music (main stage at Boom Festival [Portugal] 2006 & 2008, Infected Mushroom Australian Tour support act 2007) to folk and world music scenes (Woodford Folk Festival [Australia] 2003-2010, Penang World Music Festival 2012) and even comedy festival audiences (Just for Laughs Festival [Canada] 2006) – the undeniable primal force of the Wild Marmalade sound creates an irresistible desire to dance.
Naturally acoustic live music with a high-energy dance sound, Wild Marmalade are the original “organic dance” act.
Delhi 2 Dublin - Canada
Delhi 2 Dublin was a happy accident born out of Vancouver’s Celtic Fest in 2006. Their sound started as an electronic fusion between bhangra beats and Celtic fiddle and has since grown into anything from dub reggae to breaks to just straight up happy dance music. File under… best.
Founded by Tarun Nayar (of Beats Without Borders cred), Sanjay Seran (at the time hailing from live bhangra act Signia), and Ravi Binning (a professionally trained bhangra dancer and dhol player), the band started kicking ass on stages across North America, with violinist extremist Kytami and sitar/guitar hero Andrew Kim.
Releasing their first full-length album out within a year of their inception, it was obvious D2D had something people wanted. Word spread about their ridiculously energetic live show, and tours grew from regular jaunts across the country and down through the States, to include festival performances in Europe, Asia and Australia. The band kept up with the pace, producing a new album bi-annually and a remix album alternating years.
With seven albums out, 2014 has Delhi 2 Dublin releasing their very first, and much anticipated, LIVE album, recorded at the iconic Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, BC on their 8th birthday. This year also brings about more additions to the D2D touring family: Serena Eades joins on violin (in lieu of fiddle player Sara Fitzpatrick starting a family of her own!) and James Hussain on guitar. Jaron Freeman-Fox continues being a featured guest at select shows, along with former member Andrew Kim.
Described by one magazine as the “United Nations of rock ‘n’ roll”, Delhi 2 Dublin has become one of Canada’s most buzzed-about bands, and this was not just a happy accident

Joti Chugani - Malaysia
Joti Chugani first learnt about Yoga from a gym instructor in 2002. She was then introduced to Malaysian Yoga Society (MYS) and began her Yoga journey under Master Manisekaran’s tutelage in late 2002 and has since been certified as a Yoga Instructor, Yoga Therapist, and Ayurveda Therapist.
