Alif Azfar Bin Ishak

(21, frm Tapah, born 19/01/85, SPM)

Azfar is an ardent violinist ever since he was a kid. One of his life aspirations is to open his own music studio, where he will be able to teach young kids the art of playing violin. Azfar is also trained in folk singing following his father¡¯s footsteps in preserving the rare Malaysian art. He won the first major state (Perak) & national level competition in the 1999 Youth Folk Singing Competition. He won the same prestigious title in 2000 for the Selangor state level, beating other contestants who were much older & experienced than him at the mere age of 15 at the time.

This funny & sensitive lad hopes to make it to the final in this singing competition which will eventually propel him to national level exposure, as he would like to broaden his musical skills & make something big out of himself.

News Extract from Utusan Online dated 2/09/05

Anak didik M.Nasir Rakam album pop etnik

Bagaimanapun Alif memberitahu, konsep albumnya bukanlah seratus peratus mempertaruhkan irama Melayu asli.

Senang kata, mudah memikat anak muda masa kini,'' katanya.

Azfar, all the best to you.
I really don't like u since the begun of OIAM, i don't like your style, and your singing style, but, i think it was really great when u did ur last perform in OIAM, the combination of old school and pop, and i like ur perform in episode of judges choice(if i am not wrong), ur voice is extraordinary, u just didn't get the song that suit for you.

You have a bright future! all the best!
