Multi-talented Pianist, Singer, Composer, Actor & Musician- Adnan Sami Khan will be performing LIVE in Kuala Lumpur this 1st March 2013 at Hotel Istana Kuala Lumpur!!
Adnan Sami Khan was born on 15th August 1973, popularly known simply as Adnan Sami, is a British-born singer, musician, pianist, actor and composer of Pakistan origin. His style merges Asian and Western music styles and instrumentation and ranges from classical to jazz to modern pop-rock. A living maestro, popularly known for his unique voice as a playback singer to a number of evergreen Bollywood hits such as “Noor E Khuda” from My Name is Khan (2010), “Mera Jahan” from Taare Zameen Par (2007), “Dil Kya Kare” from Salaam E Ishq (2006) and “Jadoo Jadoo” from Koi Mil Gaya (2003), Adnan is also an accomplished artist with multiple albums notable “Sargam”, “Tera Chehra”, “Kabhi To Nazar Milao” and newly released “Press Play”. Adnan Sami is also an accomplished pianist and having once given the title as “The Fastest Man on A Keyboard” by Keyboard Magazine. Adnan Sami was voted as the “Breakthrough Artist of The Year” by MTV in the year 2001. In summer 2003, he became the only Asian artist to have sold out at Wembley Stadium, London, for two consecutive nights, which won him a place in the Limca Book of Records. In 2008, he won the award of “Best International Act” at the UK Asian Music Awards. After a 5 year hiatus since his last album, Adnan Sami is back again in 2013 with his newly launched album “Press Play”.

Biography:
Adnan Sami is an accomplished Concert Pianist and Composer with a special command on all Western and Indian Classical and semi-classical notes. His career has ranged from the the classical to the Jazz to modern Pop-Rock (Western and Indian). Adnan Sami has won many International Awards including the "Nigar Award", "Bolan Academy Award", "Graduate Award" etc. He was given a "Special Award of U.N.I.C.E.F." and a United Nations Peace Medal for a song he wrote and performed for Africa. He was invited as a member of the jury of the prestigious music festival "Voice of Asia" competition held annually at Almaty, Kazakhstan. This jury comprises of top music composers of the world. Adnan has been educated in Britain where he first studied at the Prestigious Public Shool called "Rugby School". He went on to graduate from the University of London, throughout developing his musical style and technique on the Piano and thus evolving a new sound which he pioneered and ultimately introduced to the world thus becoming the first person to play Indian Classical music on the electric Piano.
Reviewing a Piano solo performance Adnan had given on the Channel 4 in the UK, the famous American magazine "Keyboard" declared him the "Keyboard Discovery of The 90s". Popularly referred to as the fastest Keyboard player in the world, this observation was first made by the Swedish Radio and Television Broadcasting. Adnan Sami has been featured in a documentary recently commissioned by the Foreign and Common Wealth Office of Great Britain among st exclusive ten famous names from the sub-continent of India and Pakistan, who have influenced the Asian culture in the UK over the last fifty years.
As a classical concert pianist, Adnan Sami has had the honor of giving "solo" Royal Command Performances before such Royalty as the King of Sweden and King Hussein of Jordan. He has also performed before Heads of State and Governments such as President Mitterand of France, President of United Arab Emirates, President and Prime Minister of India, President and Prime Minister of Pakistan, President and Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Prime Minister of Sweden and Princess Christina of Sweden. Apart from this, Adnan has performed for prestigious Music Festivals to sold-out Stadiums of his solo concert tours all over the world in over forty countries.
Adnan is committed to experimenting with new styles and forms rather than be taken hostage by success as a commercial Artist and thus creating formula music.
